Dr. Christine Hwang is the daughter of Dr. Phillip and Dr. Chan and is born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Christine is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Christine graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.S. degree in Biology. She then attended dental school at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry and was awarded the Floyde E. Hogeboom Award for Outstanding Achievement in Pediatric Dentistry. After volunteering in various mobile clinics, Dr. Christine’s interest in pediatric oral care grew and she went on to receive her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from UCLA. Dr. Christine is currently part-time faculty at the UCLA Pediatric Dental Department.
Dr. Christine loves talking and explaining to kids to make sure children are comfortable and less nervous during treatment. In addition, she is specialty trained to use laughing gas and oral sedatives to assist children further. Her pediatric rooms also have TV's and movies to allow children to focus on something else during treatment.
Dr. Christine's goal is to give all children a positive dental experience. She is patient, gentle, and hopes to provide the best care for all her patients. From infants to adolescents, Dr. Christine hopes to make an impact on oral heath and keep her patients smiling into adulthood.
In her free time, Dr. Christine is an avid foodie that loves to try new restaurants. She also enjoys baking sweet treats for her friends and family.
